Long before bottling his first batch of ginger juice, Tryg “Jake” Jacobson spent decades building businesses, mentoring entrepreneurs and helping companies grow. Jake’s StrongGinger brought those experiences together with something far more personal: family, wellness and service.

The story behind the name
It began with his father.
The inspiration for Jake’s StrongGinger came from someone much closer to home: Jake’s father, Frank “Jake” Jacobson.
Growing up during the Great Depression on a Wisconsin farm, Frank believed that many of life’s challenges could be met with hard work, simple living and the gifts found in nature. During his travels around the world, he developed a deep appreciation for ginger and its long history as a traditional wellness ingredient.
His adventurous spirit and genuine love for helping others eventually inspired both the name and the mission of Jake’s StrongGinger.
The personal turning point
The challenge that changed everything.
This is where the product story truly begins: with a personal health challenge, interrupted nights and a determined search for a better daily routine.
For years, Jake dealt with severe acid reflux that often interrupted his sleep. Like many people, he used prescription medication while continuing to look for changes he could make to his daily routine.
That search brought him back to ginger—the ingredient his father had appreciated for years. Jake began experimenting with fresh USDA Organic Peruvian ginger and whole organic lemons, looking for a simple ritual he could make part of everyday life.
What followed was not a quick product launch. It was a patient, personal process: testing, adjusting and refining one batch at a time.
